Guest lectures on compliance und supply chain management
As part of the course "Business Ethics" (Unternehmesethik) guest lecturers gave insights into selected application fields of business ethics.
Dr. Peer Wiethoff (Head of Global Trade Management at Nokia) talked about compliance and supply chain management at Nokia, how important the trust of the board is, and that the success of a compliance department is hard to measure with KPIs.
Dr. Anna-Maija Mertens (Managing Director Transparency International Germany) explained the importance of true commitment to anti-corruption efforts and cautioned against losing sight of the actual goal of compliance instruments, for instance by thoughtlessly checking lists.
