Seminar Paper (Bachelor)

The seminar paper gives students the chance to practice academic work and scientific writing before starting with their theses. The spots for bachelor students are limited and allocated via the central allocation process of the faculty's examination office.

Topics are allocated by the chair. Seminar papers should be about 14 pages long. The results of the papers are presented and discussed during a two-day seminar. If possible we combine this with an excursion to Lutherstadt Wittenberg.

Language

The language of instruction is German. However, students are allowed to write their seminar paper in English.

Timeframe and Credits

The seminar starts with a kick-off event at the beginning of the winter semester. In this event, we clarify some organizational details, give advice on scientific work, and assign the topics for the seminar papers. The seminar papers are then handed in in November or December. Shortly thereafter the seminar takes place (on one or two days).
