In November 2014 Dima started his research work at the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH) in the department "Financial Federalism and Institutional Change".  Since 2017 his doctoral thesis was supervised by Philipp Schreck. Dima's research interests include game theory, behavioural economics, institutional design and experimental communication. He wrote his dissertation on the topic:

The Effect of Communication on Economic Behavior – Experimental Evidenc and Methodological Reflections.

Since 2019 Dima works at the Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg.
