Scholarships for the PhD program “Ethics and Responsible Leadership in Business”
05.01.2016: The Wittenberg Center for Global Ethics (WCGE) and the Leadership Excellence Institute Zeppelin (LEIZ) will award up to seven scholarships for the PhD program “Ethics and Responsible Leadership in Business”, starting in September 2016. Applications close on 31st March 2016.
New book about German theories of business ethics (edited by van Aaken and Schreck)
05.01.2016: Last month, this book, edited by van Aaken and Schreck, was published by Suhrkamp Verlag. It offers an overview of the most important theories in the German speaking business ethics landscape. It is available as paperback or eBook. The book is in German. ISBN: 978-3-518-29764-3

4th Academy for Energy and Acceptance
19.11.2015: Application Deadline extended:
The WCGE offers a 5-day workshop with the topic "Big Data as key to energy transition". There are spots for 20 students; costs will be covered. Agenda:
- Basics (with Professors from Business Ethics and Energy Industry)
- Practical relevance (with representatives from politics, economy, and civil society)
- Solutions (with a simulated stakeholder dialogue)
Deadline for applications: 29 November 2015.
The workshop will be held in German.

Talk by Dr. Andreas Ostermaier (TU Munich): 16 December
16.11.2015: As part of the workshop series "Research in Ethics and Accounting", Dr. Ostermaier (TU Munich) will present current research on 16 december at 6pm. We are looking forward to a lot of participants from our faculty!
Application for "Unternehmensethik" (Bachelor) is open
The course will cover relevant theories and concepts of economic and business ethics. Classes will concentrate on the discussion of readings, experiments and case studies to deepen understanding of the key concepts covered in the lectures.

Application for Advanced Business Ethics (Master) is open
21.09.2015: Together with the Wittenberg Center for Global Ethics we offer the seminar "Advanced Business Ethics". The seminar will cover topics of Behavioral Business Ethics. There will be four sessions; two in Halle and two in Wittenberg. To apply, please send a current transcript of records to Simon Piest no later than 4 October 2015. 11.08.2015: Learn how to solve cost accounting problems in Microsoft Excel!
The course takes places Wednesday from 4 pm to 8 pm in the Computerpool 1 [WiWi]. Students have to take a written exam (60 minutes). Prof. Schreck joins the Management Board of the Association Wittenberg Center for Global Ethics
21.07.2015: In the last meeting of the board of the Wittenberg Center, Prof. Schreck was elected a member of the association's management board. From now on, he supports the present management board members Dr. von Broock and Mr. Hötte.
